Troubled Plane Lands Safely in Israel

JERUSALEM – A Turkish plane carrying 294 passengers landed safely at Israel’s international airport Thursday after the pilot said he was having trouble deploying the landing gear, Israeli media reported.

The Airbus (search) plane landed safely with its wheels locked in place normally, Israeli media reported. The plane, an Airbus, was flown by a Turkish charter company. An emergency had been declared at the airport when the pilot reported trouble.
